Mud gas separators or poor boy degassers are special equipment for processing drilling fluid gas cut and mainly used to remove gas bubbles of larger than 3mm diameter. When gas cut occurs, mud density and viscosity deviate dramatically, which can not meet the drilling requirement. If not treated in time, it may cause well kick even blowout accidents.
